The draft lottery is tonight. Will the picks go in the same order as the teams are seeded…?

30) Edmonton – 48.2% chance at first overall pick
29) Colorado – 18.8% chance at first overall pick
28) Florida – 14.2% chance at first overall pick
27) New York I – 10.7% chance at first overall pick
26) Ottawa – 8.1% chance at first overall pick

Teams can only move up 4 slots maximum (ie. only the top 5 teams have a shot at winning the lottery) and drop no more than 1 spot in the order. So whoever finishes last overall in the regular season standings has a 48.2% off winning the draft lottery.

BQ* Which players do you have going in the top 5 in this year’s draft?

They prolly will land in pretty much that order, but I’m hopin and prayin that the Bruins via Toronto moves up… it would be a perfect way to end the Kessel saga…

BQ: From what I’ve heard so far this season, (and I haven’t been paying too much attention to the draft) there isn’t much difference between the top 8 players in this year’s draft… there isn’t a Crosby/Ovechkin/Stamkos type points racker but there are some great role players, wingers and defensemen… Its a bit early to tell all this fr a final grade since the Memorial Cup is still a month and a half away… We still have a couple of rounds left in the respective league’s playoffs.

I felt that US college hockey was kinda weak this year, except fr the guys that are already drafted to a NHL team… there were only a handful of guys that I’d consider first rounders… TJ Tynnan for Notre Dame is prolly the best forward, there are a couple defensemen here are there too…

Edit: Tiny Tim, the monster you speak of? Is it Jamie Oleksiak (Freshman, D) of Northeastern University? I’ve heard Bruins fans say that he could be Boston’s pick, but I think its generous to put him that high, and plus he doesn’t play center, and Peter Chiarelli wouldn’t pick anything but a Center in the first 3 rounds…
